Five 10th-grade students from 15 SU Adam Mitskevich, studying Customs and Tax services, recently completed a two-week training program at GOPET TRANS.
When someone is motivated to grow, we’re ready to support them. This experience gave these young people a closer look at the work environment to help them make more informed and confident career choices.
The students—Victoria, Petya, Pamela, Hristian, and Hristo—participated in a special training program through GOPET Academy, our internal training center developed over the past nine years.
GOPET Academy introduces each new team member to the world of logistics and transportation.
Under the guidance of their mentor Bonka Milanova, the first week was filled with logistics introductory sessions, presentations from her and her colleagues from different departments, and team-building activities focused on communication and collaboration. Although shy at first, they quickly became more confident and engaged.
During the second week, each student joined a different team to observe how daily operations are carried out. With curiosity and growing confidence, they asked thoughtful questions, sought the logic behind each process, and showed genuine enthusiasm. The final part of their internship was a presentation summarizing their experience, which they proudly presented to their mentors and lecturers.
Their performance impressed everyone, and their gratitude left a lasting impression. Some students even expressed their desire to return one day—not as interns, but as colleagues.
This isn’t just wishful thinking: for years, GOPET TRANS has been accepting interns every summer season, and most of them remain with the company as full members of their teams. Guiding young people today builds a stronger industry tomorrow, and these programs offer real exposure to the logistics and transportation sector while developing future talent through the GOPET Academy. When we teach and inspire, we’re not just sharing knowledge, we’re investing in the people who will shape our industry’s future.
