A special delivery crossed several continents to reach the children of the Belogradchik municipality — a 155-piece disassembled carousel with 24 seats imitating horses and carriages. The goal was to have the equipment ready for installation just before the Christmas holidays so that it could be used to provide entertainment for the children in the town.
The challenge
The merry-go-round has a diameter of 8.8 m and a height of 5.5 m, and the route passes through China – Port Said – Thessaloniki – Sofia – Belogradchik.
The project turned out to be particularly time-sensitive – a call from the customer in early October showed us that the deadline was critical and there was no room for any delays. We needed to organize the transport quickly and efficiently, with each stage planned with precision.
Our approach
To ensure accurate and timely delivery, the following steps were taken:
- The earliest possible departure of the container from Qingdao was arranged for October 28.
- The sea shipment arrived at the port of Thessaloniki on December 17, according to the planned schedule.
- Transit from Thessaloniki to Sofia began immediately, with the container reaching the customs office in Kremikovtsi for import on December 18.
- The physical customs inspection was carried out at our warehouse in the presence of the customer.
- Assembly began as planned on December 20 and was completed on December 22, ready in time for the children to enjoy it during the holiday season.
