We’re proud to share that our colleague Harry Nenkov represented GOPET Trans as part of the official Bulgarian business delegation accompanying President Rumen Radev on his state visit to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan between June 8–12, 2025.
The visit was coordinated by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, following a national call for applications. GOPET Trans was selected alongside 36 other companies from sectors such as innovation, high-tech, mechanical engineering, logistics, food industry, defense, and pharmaceuticals. Fewer than 40 companies were ultimately invited to join this high-level economic mission.
Highlights from Kazakhstan
On June 9, the Bulgarian delegation participated in the Kazakh – Bulgarian Business Forum in Astana. This event allowed GOPET to present its transport and logistics services to local partners, initiate new business relationships, and strengthen ties with existing contacts in the region.
“We had the opportunity to meet with key players in the Kazakh market, introduce our solutions, and explore ways we can support the region’s businesses with integrated forwarding and logistics services,” shared Harry Nenkov.
Highlights from Uzbekistan
On June 10–11, the delegation visited Tashkent, where GOPET took part in the Tashkent International Investment Forum — one of Central Asia’s most prominent business events, gathering over 3,000 participants from more than 75 countries.
“The forum was a powerful platform to connect with both local and international investors. The interest in transport and logistics as part of Uzbekistan’s strategic sectors is growing, and we were glad to be part of those conversations,” said Harry.
A dedicated B2B forum between Bulgarian and Uzbek companies provided further opportunity to explore collaboration in infrastructure, digital economy, and trade flows.
Looking Ahead
Beyond the business agenda, this visit helped foster strong connections among members of the Bulgarian delegation. “It was a pleasure to engage with such inspiring professionals. The energy and openness to future cooperation were remarkable, both with local partners and among our own Bulgarian colleagues,” Harry noted.
We thank the organizers for their professionalism and vision, and we look forward to further strengthening our position in Central Asia.
