The current situation has forced all of us to adjust, adults or youngsters. For instance, the epidemiological condition required that authorities impose stricter measures on students, which had to switch to online classes, but unfortunately IT equipment was not available everywhere to meet the needs of both teachers and students.
Here, at GOPET, we have always supported access to education and joined such projects through time. So, when we heard about Zonta Club “St. Sofia” initiative – “ZONTA for equal opportunity in education”-, we decided to help along.
Our company provided full equipment (computers, monitors, mousses and keyboards) for 35 children, aged between 7 and 17 years old, from underprivileged families.
We are always happy when we are able to bring meaningful help to someone, and now it was both the students and their families. We do hope we brought these children step closer to fulfilling a bright future.
